Hospitality major IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement to launch Holiday Inn Siliguri, in partnership with Four Vedas Hotels & Resorts, a joint venture between Kaysons Group, Sagar Group, and Golden Goenka Group.

In a press statement, IHG says that this new hotel, located in West Bengal at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, is slated to open in 2027 as part of IHG’s strategy to expand in high-potential secondary markets across India.

The statement adds that Siliguri is a crucial commercial gateway to North-East India, connecting the region with Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan, making it a vital hub for cross-border trade, logistics, and transport. The city’s strategic location ensures robust demand from both business and leisure travellers, particularly for international-branded hotels.

IHG says that the Holiday Inn Siliguri will embody the brand’s next-generation Open Lobby concept, offering a social and versatile environment for guests to dine, work, and relax.

It adds that the hotel will feature 111 rooms, three dining options, two flexible meeting venues, and a fitness centre. Positioned in Siliguri’s city centre, it aims to capture demand from the growing Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector, business hubs and tourism activities in the Himalayan foothills.
