Marriott International, a leading hospitality firm, and Concept Hospitality Private (CHPL) have signed 75 hotels and opened 50 properties under the Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott in India within six months of the brand’s launch in November 2025.

In a press statement, Marriott International says that the expansion has added more than 3,556 rooms to Marriott’s India portfolio and marks one of the company’s fastest regional growth phases.

The statement adds that the collaboration, launched as the global debut of Series by Marriott, is being positioned as a conversion-focused hotel model aimed at strengthening Marriott’s presence across India’s midscale and upscale hospitality segments. The portfolio now spans 43 cities across Tier I, Tier II and Tier III markets.

Marriott says that the hotels will offer standard features including Wi-Fi connectivity, breakfast options, meeting spaces and fitness facilities at select locations. The brand is also introducing customers-focused services such as breakfast boxes for early departures, in-room amenities for solo women travellers, evening turndown services with local treats and wellness-based hospitality elements.

All hotels under the brand participate in Marriott Bonvoy, allowing customers to earn and redeem loyalty points across Marriott’s global hotel network.

“When we launched Series by Marriott in India last November, we spoke of a brand designed to scale with both speed and purpose. Reaching 75 signings, with 50 open and operating hotels across the country, in under six months is a validation of that vision. India is not simply a launchpad for this brand; it is proof of concept. As we expand our footprint, we remain focused on delivering consistent, quality experiences for guests, while offering owners an efficient, conversion-friendly model, backed by the strength of Marriott Bonvoy and our distribution ecosystem,” says Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International.

“Reaching 75 signed hotels is a milestone we are genuinely proud of, but the more meaningful story is the hotels that are already open – already welcoming guests, earning loyalty, and delivering on the promise we made when this association began. The alignment between The Fern’s heritage of thoughtful, regionally rooted hospitality and Marriott International’s global standards and distribution has resonated powerfully with owners and travellers alike. Between our commitment to sustainable hospitality, the industry’s growing appetite for quality development, and Marriott’s unmatched systems and loyalty reach, we are tracking well ahead of our plans – and we are only just beginning,” says Suhail Kannampilly, Managing Director, Concept Hospitality.
