Wyndham’s Ramada Encore surpasses 1,000 operational keys in India with three new hotel openings
To strengthen its presence in India’s hospitality market, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hospitality firm, is expanding with three Ramada Encore by Wyndham properties in Uttar Pradesh and Kerala, as domestic travel grows beyond traditional gateway cities.
In a press statement, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts says the expansion includes Ramada Encore by Wyndham Ayodhya Takpura, Ramada Encore by Wyndham Vrindavan Rukmani Vihar and Ramada Encore by Wyndham Kochi Kalamassery. The hotels are being developed through franchise partnerships with local owners.
The statement adds that the announcement comes as India recorded more than 4.3 billion domestic tourist visits in 2025, according to the Ministry of Tourism. Ayodhya alone attracted more than 200 million visitors during the year, highlighting the scale of demand in the country’s spiritual travel markets.
Ramada Encore by Wyndham Ayodhya Takpura has 72 rooms and is located on National Highway 27, about four kilometres from the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The property caters to pilgrims, families and business travellers, with facilities for weddings, social celebrations and corporate gatherings.

In Vrindavan, the 45-room Ramada Encore by Wyndham Vrindavan Rukmani Vihar marks the brand’s entry into the city. Located close to major temples, the hotel features a swimming pool, all-day dining and banquet facilities for pilgrims, families and leisure travellers.
Ramada Encore by Wyndham Kochi Kalamassery has 57 rooms and is located along the Kochi Panvel Highway, with access to InfoPark, Cochin International Airport and key commercial districts. The property offers two restaurants, a 24-hour café, a spa, sauna, steam room, gym and banquet and event facilities, catering to business and leisure travellers.
The expansion takes Ramada Encore beyond 1,000 operational keys in India, with 17 hotels operating across the country and 18 across the Eurasia region, including Nepal.
“India’s next phase of hospitality growth will be shaped by destinations where travel demand is becoming more frequent, diverse and year-round. Ramada Encore gives us the flexibility to respond to that demand with a contemporary midscale offering that can adapt to the needs of each market. Our role is to pair the right brand with the right opportunity and give owners the distribution, technology, loyalty and operational support of the Wyndham Advantage to build resilient hotel businesses,” says Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director, Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
