The Love Room, a pet-friendly restaurant
Pet-friendly restaurants, which seemed like a myth just a few years back, have found takers among the canine and feline lovers of Kolkata (West Bengal, East of India). The Love Room is one such café in the heart of the city that successfully caters to both humans and their furry companions.
The Love Room is the first pet-friendly café in the city. “It was built with a lot of passion and admiration for pets. We receive a lot of love, unconditional love from all our guests, our team and our pets. Everyone is welcome here; however there is a set rule of getting the updated vaccination cards of your pets, if you are getting them here. We put utmost emphasis on vaccination. Incidentally, our name often gave out wrong vibes to the people who mistook it for a hook-up room,” said Shruti Singh, the owner of The Love Room café.

The cozy-chic eatery which previously housed nine dogs is now home to happy felines who roam about and take naps in visitors’ laps.

One of the visitors at the café, Madhuparna Sreemany exclaimed, “The ambience of this café is calming and therapeutic. It feels great to be among so many furry friends. The food here is different and caters to a wide range of clientele. Everything is so admirably pet-themed, that is worth recommending this place to friends.”
