Europe India Foundation for Excellence (EIFE) has crossed continents in its two year journey and will be organising the first ever India International Skill Development Summit (IISDS) this year. India is coming together with Europe to address its gaps in skill development with over 400 participants at the IISDS and in this edition of Biz@India, we bring to you the journey of the organisation along with the current scenario of skill development in India. An interview from Count Christopher de Braza who leads EIFE is followed by interviews from Indian government officials such as Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Raghubar Das. We move on to showcase profiles of bodies such as GSI, Oberhausen in Germany and Nanterre University to present how skilling is practiced in institutes. To conclude, we look at the food processing sector in India and the challenges it faces. The potentials of the skilling sector with strong Indian states, companies and bodies are explored in this issue of Biz@India, which hopes ensure an enriching an enlightening read for those seeking to understand the skill development sector in India.
