All activities of the convention will be hosted at Taj Lakefront hotel in Bhopal

The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has announced that its 39th annual convention, will be held in Bhopal from August 30 to September 2 with focus on reviving inbound tourism into India.

With the theme of ‘Resurgent India Inbound’, the 39th annual convention of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) will be held from August 30 to September 2 in Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh.

In a press statement, IATO, which is one of the leading associations of tour operators in India, says that the convention will be put the spotlight on pivotal discussions and initiatives shaping the country’s tourism future.

According to the press statement, all activities of the convention, including registration, inaugural function, business sessions and evening programmes, will be hosted at Taj Lakefront hotel in Bhopal.

It adds that the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, along with several state tourism departments, will participate in the convention, with an anticipated attendance of about 15 states.

The statement adds that Ravi Gosain, Vice President, will be the Chairman of the Convention, alongside Sunil Mishra, Honorary Treasurer, and Mahendra Singh, Chairman of IATO Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh Chapter, as Co-Chairmen of the convention.

It adds that the convention will feature the IATO Run for Responsible Tourism on September 1, with awards across various categories. Evening entertainment is planned for all three days, offering delegates a chance to unwind and the convention will also facilitate member interactions with state tourism departments and other stakeholders to promote tourism.

“We expect about 900-1000 delegates from all over the country to participate which will include senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the States, industry leaders, tourism and hospitality professionals and travel trade media. There are 10 post convention tours being organised on various sectors to showcase Madhya Pradesh amongst the tourism stakeholders and later promote in overseas and domestic markets,” says Ravi Gosain, Vice President of IOTA.

“During the 3 days convention there will be deliberations on burning issues during the business sessions being finalised and we will have experts in all fields,” says Sunil Mishra, Honorary Treasurer.
