38th IATO Annual Convention to take place in Aurangabad
With the theme of ‘Inbound Tourism and Emerging Sustainable Trends’, the 38th Annual Convention of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) will be held from September 29-October 2 in Aurangabad in Maharashtra.
According to a press statement Rajiv Mehra, President of IATO, Rajnish Kaistha, Senior Vice President of the organisation, will be the Chairman of the Convention along with Sanjay Razdan, honorary Secretary and Jitendra Kejriwal, Chairman, IATO Maharashtra Chapter as the Co-Chairmen. Jaswant Singh, an IATO member from Aurangabad will be the Convention Coordinator, says the statement.
Mehra adds that WelcomHotel by ITC Hotels Rama International will be the venue hotel and all the activities on all the three days, including registration for the convention, inaugural function, business sessions and evening programmes.
Ravi Gosain, Vice President of IATO says that the he expects about 900-1000 delegates from all over the country to participate in the convention. The participants will include senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and States, industry leaders, tourism and hospitality professionals and travel trade media.
The statement adds that there are 5 post-convention tours being organised on various sectors. The statement adds that this year also IATO expects larger participation from various state governments as every state is keen to re-instate inbound tourism to their respective states.
During the 3-day convention there will be deliberations on ‘burning’ issues during the business sessions being finalised and IATO will have experts in all fields, adds Gosain. Members have been advised to block these dates for the IATO Convention and get their air tickets issued on the available fare. Registration details will follow soon, says IATO.
