With the year-end travel season approaching rapidly, India’s largest travel firm, Thomas Cook India and its subsidiary, SOTC Travel have launched special holiday deals for Indians to discover and explore their own country’s iconic and diverse locales and experiences that compete with international favourites. According to a press statement, the packages under Enchanting India Holidays offer fascinating choice and diversity, of locales and experiences, that are on par or surpass the best in the world. The statement adds that for this the two companies have curated itineraries and an exciting array of opportunities to start their holiday planning.

The list includes snow-capped peaks of Gulmarg and the picturesque landscapes of Khajjiar which offers fascinating appeal akin to the Swiss Alps. Andaman’s pristine beaches – blue waters that compare with Phuket, Chhattisgarh’s Chitrakote Falls that is called India’s Niagara Fall, Kashmir’s 30 acres of tulip gardens that compete with Holland,  the lush and languid backwaters of Kerala offer unique appeal outplaying Venice’s canals, while Andhra Pradesh’s Gandikota Hills could be India’s Grand Canyon.

The statement says that the packages include India’s hidden gems such as the surreal landscapes of Kashmir’s Gurez and Doodhpathri valleys, Chenab Bridge – the world’s highest rail bridge or Dal Lake’s floating post office,  Arunachal Pradesh’s Damro, the longest hanging bridge in the country, Ziro Valley and majestic monasteries of Tawang, Maharashtra’s Lonar Lake – a meteoric marvel and Meghalaya’s awe-inspiring living root bridges.

The statement says that the options can be customised as per travellers’ preference, says the press release. The options include private villas with a chef & concierge or unique stays in forts, tea/coffee plantations, havelis or palaces. Besides these, the packages also include camping, Trekking & Biking Trips to destinations such as Ladakh and Spiti Valley.
