IndiGo announces 8 new flights for upcoming winter travel season
East and North-East India to see new routes & added frequency
IndiGo has launched added frequencies and new flights in Agartala, Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Dimapur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Bangkok routes, in time for the upcoming winter travel season.
IndiGo, the largest Indian carrier, has announced new flights and resumption of operations in its winter schedule to significantly bolster connectivity to East and North-East India.
In a press statement, IndiGo says that it is now operating tri-weekly flights between Agartala and Dibrugarh operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The low-cost airline has also launched new direct flights between Guwahati and Dimapur and the resumed flights between Guwahati and Ahmedabad, daily from December 10.
IndiGo has also announced frequency addition on the Kolkata and Bangkok route, operating 4 times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, starting from November 24.
The statement adds that IndiGo will operate maiden direct flights connecting Agartala with Dibrugarh.
The airline says that the addition of these new routes and resuming operations will bolster domestic connectivity and provide business and leisure travellers with increased flight options to travel to their preferred destinations across East and Northeast India, thereby enhancing regional accessibility this winter.
It says that these new routes will also facilitate trade, commerce, and employment opportunities, further strengthening economic ties between the cities.
