Sujata Bajaj

At the Visual Arts Gallery of the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, the ambience was vibrant with bright coloured paintings and sculptures of Ganapati adorning the walls and the space, courtesy the book launch of Sujata Bajaj, a Paris based Indian artist, on February 25. Through the exhibition and the book she unveiled a series of her works on the creative form of Ganapati, who has been her muse for the past 30 years.  High profile guests such as French ambassador to India François Richier, actress Shabana Azmi and poet Javed Akhtar were the chief guests. The exhibition will also move to the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai where the artist will launch her book again amidst five renowned women on the occasion of Women’s Day on March 8.
