1500 enthusiasts and novices participated in the free yoga session organized by the Embassy of India in France on June 18 at the Parc de la Villette in Paris, on the sidelines of the International Yoga Day. It was a nice way to promote this ancient practice and its Indian roots to the French, as reminded by Dr Mohan Kumar, Ambassador of India in France. The session, helmed by Kiran Vyas, – founder and head of Tapovan ayurveda and yoga centers in France, – attracted a diverse audience, eager to pursue this beneficial practice. Yoga is getting increasingly popular worldwide and is actively supported by the Indian government, as a soft power tool.
