Thousands of students, parents, professionals and supporters gathered again at Jantar Mantar on Wednesday, two days after the police crackdown on the CJP-led ‘Chalo Sansad’ march over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.
Abhijeet Dipke, Founder, CJP said the movement would continue until the government met its demands. The organisation also appealed to activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is on the 25th day of his hunger strike, to end his fast, assuring him that the campaign for justice would continue.

The legal battle over the police action also gathered pace on Wednesday. The Delhi High Court sought responses from the Centre and the Delhi Police on petitions alleging the use of excessive force against protesters during the July 20 march.
The court directed the Delhi Police to preserve all records related to the incident, including CCTV footage and videography, in accordance with existing standard operating procedures.
Police have registered 10 FIRs across five police stations in connection with the Parliament march. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court declined an urgent hearing on a plea challenging the police action against the student protesters.

Despite the crackdown, protesters remained firm, saying they would continue their demonstrations until accountability is fixed in the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case and their demands are addressed.
