The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is back with the annual platform for couture, India Couture Week (ICW), yet again with an edition of glamour and glitz that will begin in New Delhi on July 20, 2016.

A line-up of famous designers is ready to mesmerise the fashion experts with latest in haute couture. The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), country’s apex fashion body, is back with the India Couture Week (ICW) to present rich craftsmanship of the Indian culture from July 20-24, 2016, at Taj Palace, in New Delhi.

Since its foundation in 2008, the fashion event has been a platform for showcasing in the Indian capital handiwork, trends, and the best of Indian art by leading designers across the country.

The FDCI, represented by over 350 members, was set up on the premise of promoting, nurturing and representing the best of fashion and design talent in the country. Its prime objective is to propagate the business of fashion. FDCI stays true to its commitment to promote the “Make in India” label, as handlooms take center stage.

Last year, the ICW saw a host of Bollywood stars descend on the capital to walk the ramp in intricately-crafted creations or admire them from the front row.

From cocktail gowns to hybrid ethnic wear

“We have always offered the best of India through our eponymous events and the ICW is the most coveted extravaganza in the stable as it showcases couture ensembles, which are emblematic of our rich tradition and historical past. As we get set to indulge in this unadulterated visual treat, we hope to recreate splendour through the art of luxury,” Sunil Sethi, president, FDCI, said.

The ICW 2016 promises a display of intricate craftsmanship, interesting vogue, and amazing Indian crafts by leading designers from fashion cities like Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi.

From cocktail gowns to hybrid ethnic wear that you can move in to the opulent bridal looks for wedding ceremonies, ICW celebrates the Indian fashion with zeal every year.
