Though not launched in many countries, Pokemon Go, downloaded via other means, is receiving numerous admirers worldwide, notably in India. With people roaming around searching for Pokemon to advance their collections, the new found gaming trend is far from getting over here.

Pokemon Go is an augmented reality game initially released in selected countries like the US, Australia and New Zealand. The enthusiasm is high with the game thralling gamers worldwide. The game that is based on the 1990’s Japanese cartoon series by the name of Pokémon, was later launched in several European countries and was widely accepted in a short period of time.

The game is interesting to start with but might not stay so for long for some. “I have fun playing Pokemon Go but there’s not enough to do. For me, it’s just to pass time while travelling”, an author based in New Delhi, India, told MIG.

Some of the adverse effects of excessive gaming have been people trespassing onto private property, unconsciously walking around and even crossing roads without taking precaution leading to injuries in some cases. To prevent further mis-happenings, Mumbai Police started a campaign to spread awareness about the hazards of being inattentive of the surroundings while playing the game.

The absence of release date in India has not stopped people from downloading it from sources. “I’ve dowloaded the game from APKMirror”, said the author.

With numerous Poké Stops and Pokémon Gyms at places like malls and gardens, the number of gatherings at a place go up once the news that a collection of Pokemon are present at that place, spreads. There are many incidences still when many groups of people are found in local parks and sometimes on roadsides to catch a special featured Pokemon. Many stops are believed to be at religious places.

Pokemon Go was launched in many Asian countries earlier this week. As the earning of the company is growing, so is the madness around the game. According to the statistics, the game crossed 100 million downloads recently and adds many more to the profile every day.
