Ventive Hospitality, luxury hotels and resorts company, in collaboration with its Promoter Group Companies, has announced a major expansion of its partnership with Marriott International, American hospitality giant, signing management contracts for seven new luxury, upper-upscale and upscale hotels across India and Sri Lanka.
In a press statement, Marriott international says that the agreement will add a total of 1,548 rooms, marking significant brand debuts in key locations such as Sri Lanka, Varanasi, Mundra, Pune and Navi Mumbai. The statement adds that of the seven properties, three will be developed directly by Ventive Hospitality and its subsidiaries.
According the statement, these include the Ritz-Carlton Reserve at Pottuvil, Sri Lanka, featuring 73 villas and 80 branded residences near Yala East National Park; the Varanasi Marriott Hotel with 161 rooms, strategically located near Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport; and the Courtyard by Marriott in Mundra, Gujarat, which will offer 200 rooms aimed at serving the region’s growing seaport and industrial clientele.
Marriott International says the remaining four hotels, JW Marriott Navi Mumbai with 450 rooms, Moxy Navi Mumbai with 200 rooms, Moxy Pune Wakad with 264 rooms and Moxy Pune Kharadi with 200 rooms, are being developed by Promoter Group companies.
It adds that these will be transferred to Ventive Hospitality under a Right of First Offer (ROFO) or alternative value-maximising structures, ensuring equitable benefit for all stakeholders.
The announcement was made by Atul Chordia, Chairman and Executive Director of Ventive Hospitality, alongside senior leaders from both companies. This expansion not only strengthens a two-decade-long relationship with Marriott but also marks a pivotal moment for Ventive Hospitality as it enters its first financial year post-listing, aiming to redefine the hospitality landscape in the region, says Chordia.
