Air India launches direct daily flights from Vijayawada to Mumbai

India’s largest international carrier Air India, has announced the direct daily service between Vijayawada and Mumbai enhancing its network in Andhra Pradesh and opening new international connections for the state.
Enhancing air connectivity in Andhra Pradesh, Air India, India’s leading international airline, has introduced a direct daily service between Vijayawada and Mumbai.
In a press statement, the carrier says that this initiative aims to facilitate easier travel access both domestically and internationally, marking a significant advancement in regional air transportation infrastructure.
Air India says that the flight AI598, operated by an A320 family aircraft, will take off daily from Mumbai at 15:55 arriving in Vijayawada at 17:45. The return flight AI599 leaves Vijayawada at 19:10 and lands in Mumbai at 21:00.
It adds that the direct service will enhance the connection between Vijayawada and Mumbai, meeting a long-standing need.
The statement adds that passengers have access to convenient international connections to destinations including the United Kingdom, North America, Dubai, and Singapore, along with over 45 domestic destinations.
