Dusit Hotels returns to India with property in Himachal Pradesh

Dusit Hotels and Resorts, a Thai luxury hospitality company has announced a return to India with the soft opening of DusitD2 Fagu, a luxurious retreat set amidst the ranges of Fagu, near Shimla in Himachal Pradesh.

Thai multinational hospitality company, Dusit Hotels and Resorts, says it is back in India, with the soft opening in December of dusitD2 Fagu, a luxurious retreat located in the mountains of Fagu, near Shimla, capital of Himachal Pradesh.

In a press statement, Dusit says that the retreat will offer its guests a chance to experience exceptional blend of Thai hospitality and local charm.

The statement adds that the property located about 80 minutes from Shimla airport and about four hours from Chandigarh airport, features 80 guest rooms, each designed to provide a perfect blend of modern comforts with local cultural touches, and showcase stunning views of the surrounding valleys and mountains.

“We are delighted to bring Dusit International’s signature Thai hospitality back to India with the upcoming launch of dusitD2 Fagu,” says Gilles Cretallaz, COO, Dusit International.

The statement also highlights nearby attractions like Kufri, Mashobra, Narkanda, Mahasu Peak and the UNESCO-listed Shimla-Kalka Toy Train. The hospitality firm says that customers at dusitD2 Fagu can explore these sights and enjoy a range of experiences, including adventure sports, cultural landmarks, nature walks and amusement parks.

DusitD2 Fagu also boasts versatile function spaces, including the largest banquet and terrace lawn in the area, an open-air amphitheatre and a unique venue for starlit performances, meetings, weddings, and special events.

Dusit International currently manages a selection of luxury villas in Goa through its subsidiary, Elite Havens. With the soft opening of the 80-key dusitD2 Fagu, the company will introduce Dusit-branded hotels in India. Looking ahead, four more properties are slated to open in Karnataka by mid-2026.
