FHRAI to host 55th Annual Convention in Bengaluru
Industry leaders to discuss future of Indian hospitality

The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) is set to hold its 55th Annual Convention from September 18–20, 2025, in Bengaluru, with the theme ‘FutureScape 2047'. Redefining Hospitality for a New India’, the event will gather top leaders from hospitality, government, tourism and allied sectors to explore the future of India’s hospitality industry as the nation moves toward its centenary of independence.

The 55th Annual Convention of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), the apex body of the Indian hospitality industry, representing over 60,000 hotels and 500,000 restaurants nationwide, will be held in Bengaluru over three days, starting from September 18.
In a press statement, FHRAI says that the annual convention in Bengaluru will serve as a major platform for industry experts, policymakers and business leaders to discuss key trends, challenges, and opportunities in the hospitality sector.
The event will begin with an inaugural ceremony featuring speeches by prominent dignitaries such as Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister of Karnataka, and Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister of India. Other key guests include leaders from central and state governments involved in tourism and civil aviation.
In a press statement, on September 19, business sessions will focus on topics like building iconic Indian hospitality brands, rebranding spiritual tourism, boosting the experience economy, expanding hotels and restaurants in smaller cities, and improving revenue management. It adds that industry experts including Suman Billa, Vikram Cotah, and Anil Chadha will share their insights.
According to the press statement, the final day will cover sustainable practices in hospitality, digital and technological innovations, maintaining India’s culinary identity, and managing cybersecurity risks in a connected world. Experts such as Lakshmi Sharad and Rohit Bansal will participate in these important discussions.
The statement adds, that the convention will conclude with a Valedictory Session and the FHRAI Hospitality Awards. V Vidyavathi, IAS, Secretary of Tourism, Government of India, will deliver the final address.
