IHG Hotels to launch Crowne Plaza brand in Punjab
Reinforcing its foothold in Punjab, IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a partnership with SLRV Hotels to introduce the Crowne Plaza brand in the state, with the first property scheduled to open in Q4 2028.
In a press statement, IHG says that it will open Crowne Plaza Amritsar Airport, with 136 keys, reinforcing its foothold in a prime tourist and spiritual destination in Punjab.
The chain says that Crowne Plaza ranks among the globe’s largest premium hotel brands, boasting over 530 operational or upcoming properties across major urban hubs, gateway cities, and resort destinations worldwide.
The statement adds that the hotel would include ample and modern spaces for a seamless balance between work and leisure. Guests will enjoy the hotel’s all-day dining, a lobby lounge and a bar. For recreational and unwinding purposes, the hotel will be equipped with a swimming pool, gymnasium and a spa facility, says IHG.
