Fondly known as Pondy and officially known as Puducherry, the erstwhile French colony of Pondicherry in India is synonymous with spirituality as well as sunny beach escapades.

As we take a trip from Auroville to White Town stopping at the Rock Beach, Serenity Beach and the Paradise Beach on the outskirts of Puducherry, there was one emotion that remained constant – a profound tranquillity. The Auroville, with its earthly and mystic allure will charm you to believe how it belongs to nobody but humanity. The French quarters at the White Town including the promenade by the Rock Beach offers the perfect laid-back mood while the serene and unspoiled Paradise Beach leaves you with an urge to revisit again and again.

Here is a photo story for you to savour a glimpse of Puducherry and its peaceful locales.
