ATOAI holds Annual General Meeting and announces new leadership for 2026-28
The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), the national representative body for adventure travel and tourism operators, conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for FY2025-26, followed by elections for its Office Bearers and Executive Committee for the 2026-28 term.
In a press statement, ATOAI says Tejbir Singh Anand, of Holiday Moods Adventures, has been elected President of the Association for the next two years. Vaibhav Kala of Aquaterra Adventures India has been elected Senior Vice President, while Ronny Singh Gulati of Youreka Campouts Services has been elected Vice President. Paras Loomba of GHE Impact Ventures has been appointed Honorary Secretary and Yog Chinmoy Dutt of Junoon Adventure and Eco Tours as Honorary Treasurer.
The AGM brought together members of the adventure tourism fraternity for an important day of institutional review
The statement adds that Shekhar Babu of Transcend Adventures and Amit Periwal of Clubside Tours and Travels have been elected to the Executive Committee. The elections were conducted under the supervision of Returning Officer Rajeev Kohli.

The new leadership will focus on strengthening safety practices and professional standards, expanding training and capacity building, promoting responsible and sustainable tourism, supporting destination development and engaging with government and industry stakeholders on policies that enable the responsible growth of adventure tourism.
According to the statement, ATOAI will also work towards creating greater opportunities for its members and strengthening collaboration across the adventure tourism community as India seeks to unlock the potential of its mountains, rivers, forests, coasts and other adventure destinations.

Speaking on his election, Anand says the incoming team would focus on delivering tangible membership benefits, fostering active mentorship and responding to the evolving needs of the Association’s members, while encouraging the adoption of high operational and safety standards.
“Our core focus will be on delivering tangible membership benefits, fostering active mentorship, and truly listening to the evolving needs of our community. By encouraging and equipping our members to adopt the highest operational and safety standards, we will strengthen the industry from within and firmly establish India on the global map as a premier, responsible adventure destination,” says Anand.
