Oyo expands Sunday Hotels footprint with 40 new properties

Sunday Hotels will focus on both major cities and smaller towns

Hospitality firm Oyo is ramping up the expansion of its premium hotel brand, Sunday, ahead of planned listing of parent firm Prism.

Oyo’s parent company, Prism, which is preparing for an Initial Public Offering, is speeding up the growth of its premium hotel brand, Sunday Hotels.

According to a press statement, it plans to open 40 new high-end hotels, including 4-star and 5-star properties across India during this financial year.

“Sunday blends global hospitality expertise with localised operations and cutting-edge technology, creating a flexible and profitable model for both seasoned hotel owners and entrepreneurs across India,” says Aditya Sharma, Business Head, Sunday Hotels and Resorts.

The statement adds that as part of its growth plan, Sunday Hotels will focus on both major cities and smaller towns, as well as popular tourist spots like wildlife parks and well-known religious sites.

States like Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan will play a key role in this expansion in FY26, making up more than 40 pc of the new hotels in Sunday’s pipeline, says the statement.
