Indian markets during Diwali are quite a sight. While beautiful artefacts, showpieces, diyas (earthen lamps), sweets and other materials used during puja (worship) start adorning the markets days before the festivity, the liveliness of the markets is notable particularly from Dhanteras, the first day of Diwali.
