Interview with Kaushik Ganguly, Director of Cinemawala

Cinemawala is Kaushik Ganguly’s tribute to the celluloid and a deep insight into the changing practices of film exhibition with the advent of the digital revolution. In this exclusibe interview with Media India Group, Ganguly shares his thoughts about the film’s progress in the international festivals and the importance of showcasing regional cinema in the national level.

Parambrata Chattopadhyay, who plays a pivotal role in the film describes how he thinks the film being a part of the history! Cinemawala was released in Kolkata on May 13. After a thriving run in the city the film was released nationally on June 10. The producers, Venkatesh Films hope to release the film in some more cities, after the initial responses.
