The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, in its curtain raiser briefing here in New Delhi, elucidated the main program elements of the 14th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, to be held in Bengaluru, Karnataka from January 7 to 9, 2017.

The briefing was attended by Dnyaneshwar M Mulay, Secretary, Overseas Indian Affairs, who elaborated on the schedule of the convention, whereas Gaurav Gupta, Commissioner of Industrial Development in Karnataka, explained the security and other steps taken to assure a smooth functioning of the convention and also the industrial visits organised for overseas Indians.

Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will be inaugurating this three-day event and will deliver his keynote address.

Among the many attractions under the theme, ‘Redefining engagement with Indian diaspora’, the event exhibition would be a highlight, which will showcase the achievements of the government in various sectors, including its policies and initiatives. Delegates can also explore business opportunities in India and can connect with government officials, business owners and entrepreneurs.
