Siege of Silger: Determined tribals take on Big Business

A fact finding committee of journalists and activists has released a report on the ongoing Siege of Silger in Chhattisgarh and the vocal year-long protest by tribals living in the tiny village against the presence of CRPF forces that have set up numerous camps on the tribals’ land without their permission. They say that the camps have been set to help large companies take over tribal land for mining.
