The farmer who first reached Singhu border

A green 4×4 John Deere tractor has become the epicentre of the ongoing farmers’ protest at the Singhu border between Delhi and Haryana. This mean machine was leading the protestors march that began on November 25th from various parts of the country. The tractor was the first to reach the Singhu border and since then has served as the site office for the protest organisers. Driven by Gurdeep Singh, a farmer from Jalandhar in Punjab, the tractor and Singh both have emerged as icons of the protest.
