The international breadth of the fair is reflected in the strong representation of exhibitors from Italy, Spain, China, Germany, France, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkiye and the United States
Anuga 2025, a leading trade fair for the food and beverage industry, is set to open in Cologne in Germany from October 4 to 8 in its largest-ever edition. With nearly 8,000 exhibitors from 110 countries and a gross exhibition space of 290,000 sqm, the event reasserts Cologne’s standing as the global hub for food industry dialogue.
In a press statement, the organisers of Anuga say that more than 140,000 trade visitors from almost 200 nations are expected, with foreign participants accounting for 94 pc of total attendance.
The statement adds that the international breadth of the fair is reflected in the strong representation of exhibitors from Italy, Spain, China, Germany, France, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkiye and the United States. A total of 174 group stands from 78 countries will showcase diverse portfolios, with the largest pavilions, including those from Istanbul, China, Italy, Spain and the United States, each spanning up to 6,000 sqm.
According to the organisers this year, Anuga introduces a revised hall structure to bring related product categories in closer proximity. The new Anuga Alternatives section, dedicated to plant-based and cell-cultivated products, will be located adjacent to Anuga Fine Food in Hall 1.
The statement adds that highlights include the Halal Forum organised with the Islamic Chamber of Halal Services, the Anuga Horizon Stage focusing on artificial intelligence, sustainability and the circular economy, and the International Frozen Food Conference, which coincides with the 70th anniversary of frozen food in Germany.
Korea, the partner country for 2025, will present under the theme Flavour meets Trends. More than 100 exhibitors will showcase its culinary traditions alongside cutting-edge food technologies.
High-level delegations, including Agriculture Ministers from Germany and Korea, as well as foreign ambassadors, are expected to attend.

Gerald Böse
“Anuga is far more than just a trade fair, it is a marketplace, a source of inspiration and a pacesetter for the global food industry. The leading minds of the industry meet up to present innovations and discuss tomorrow’s trends in Cologne. As such, the future of food becomes visible here, and at the same time negotiable,” says Gerald Böse, President and Chief Executive Officer of Koelnmesse GmbH.
“With Korea as our partner country, we have won over a food nation that connects tradition and high tech like no other. This presence will not only offer the entire industry enjoyment, but also inspiration,” says Böse.
