Embraer to showcase E195-E2, E175 at Wings India 2026
Focus on regional connectivity and right-sized jets
At Wings India 2026, an international civil aviation exhibition, Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer will spotlight its regional jet strategy for India, showcasing the E195-E2 and E175 as airlines look to expand connectivity beyond major metros.
Embraer, a global aerospace company, will place its commercial aircraft portfolio at the centre of Wings India 2026, showcasing the E195-E2 and the E175 at the aviation event in Hyderabad from January 28.
In a press statement Embraer says that the display reflects the manufacturer’s focus on India’s growing demand for regional connectivity and right-sized aircraft as airlines expand operations beyond major hubs.

The statement adds that E195-E2, which will be on static display, represents Embraer’s latest-generation small narrowbody aircraft. Designed for the 132–146 seat segment, the jet targets airlines operating short- and medium-haul routes with fluctuating demand.
According to the company, the aircraft delivers lower fuel burn and reduced emissions per seat compared to earlier-generation E-Jets and is certified to operate with blends of up to 50 pc sustainable aviation fuel. Embraer has also completed tests demonstrating engine operability with 100 pc SAF.
Embraer estimates that India will require around 500 aircraft in the 80–146 seat category over the next two decades, driven by rising air travel demand and government-led regional connectivity programmes.

The E2 family, the company says, is positioned to support new routes linking tier-two and tier-three cities, where larger narrowbody aircraft may not be economically viable.

Alongside the E195-E2, Embraer will also highlight the E175, a regional jet already in service with Star Air in India. With seating for up to 88 passengers, the E175 is widely used on regional routes, particularly in the United States, where it holds a dominant share of the regional jet market. Recent updates to avionics and cabin features have aligned the aircraft more closely with the E2 passenger experience says the statement.

It adds that Embraer currently has close to 50 aircraft operating in India across military, government, business and commercial aviation segments. Beyond commercial jets, the company is also offering the C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft to the Indian Air Force under the Medium Transport Aircraft programme, with a proposed ‘Make in India’ partnership.
“Embraer’s E-Jet programme is one of the most successful in the industry. The E-Jets family can transform and grow regional connectivity from tier two and tier three cities in India, tapping on ‘blue ocean’ opportunities,” says Adity Shekhar, Regional Vice President, Sales, Embraer.
