The statement adds that July recorded 694,000 tourist arrivals, marking a 2.27 pc increase compared with July 2025. Goa Tourism says it is also targetting established and emerging international source markets while working on air connectivity and tourism products aimed at different visitor segments.

Goa Tourism expects the remaining months of 2026 to see demand from festive travel, leisure tourism, MICE and international markets, says the statement.

The state is also seeking to spread tourist activity across the year by promoting experiences in its hinterland and expanding segments including wellness, heritage, adventure, spiritual tourism, gastronomy and workation.

“The numbers tell us that Goa continues to remain a strong and resilient tourism destination. The growth in domestic arrivals and the positive momentum seen are encouraging. At the same time, we are looking beyond numbers and working to diversify our offerings and our markets, strengthen international connectivity and build tourism products that can attract visitors across seasons. Our objective is not just to bring more tourists to Goa, but to bring the right audiences for the experiences Goa has to offer. Wellness, heritage, MICE, adventure, nautical tourism, spiritual tourism, gastronomy and workation are creating new reasons for tourists to visit Goa beyond the traditional beach holidays,” says Rohan A Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, Government of Goa.

“The July figures are particularly significant as they point to continued demand during the monsoon season, traditionally considered an off-peak period for Goa. The state has been actively promoting monsoon tourism and experience-led travel, encouraging visitors to explore Goa’s hinterland, culture, wellness, cuisine, nature and adventure offerings during the green season,” says Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism.
