Memorandum of Understanding signed between Guru Nanak Educational Society and ESPML
The Ecole Supérieure de la Production de la Mode et du Luxe (ESPML) of the Greater Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including ISIPCA and La Fabrique, headquartered in Versailles, France, has announced the launch of a new Indo-French Academic Partnership with Guru Nanak Educational Society, located in Chennai in Tamil Nadu state of India.
According to a press statement issued by ESPML, this new Indo-French strategic cooperation was successfully introduced by Europe-India Foundation for Excellence (EIFE), and sealed by the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding between Manjit Singh Nayar, General Secretary and Correspondent at Guru Nanak Educational Society, and Marie-France Zumofen, Executive Director at the Ecole Supérieure de la Production de la Mode et du Luxe, on Monday May 22nd, 2023.
“All my teams and I are deeply honoured to collaborate with Guru Nanak College and Guru Nanak Educational Society. We are looking forward to start cooperating soon in India and France. We are all eager to share our mutual best practices, academic knowledge, and vocational know-how to offer students first-rate joint or consecutive vocational training programs or short-term programs. These programmes will enable them to acquire the skills required by employers in the luxury industries, companies and retailers in India or France or in many other countries around the world,” says Marie-France Zumofen, Executive Director of the Ecole Supérieure de la Production de la Mode et du Luxe.
This collaboration aims to explore further potential cooperation opportunities between the two parties in higher education and applied research, and innovation.
“Every year, we welcome a third of international students to ISIPCA on its campus in Versailles, they can take advantage of our high-quality professional faculty and our cutting-edge laboratories dedicated to olfaction, sensorial analysis, physico-chemical analysis, organic chemistry, formulation and evaluation of fine or functional fragrances, white and coloured cosmetics, and salty and sweet flavours with food applications,” Zumofen adds.
“Our collaboration prospects will include applied research combining our mutual findings and publications, participations in conferences, and innovative joint applied research studies. It will also be the great opportunity to organize visiting professor and researcher programs in France and India,” she adds.
As part of the Ecole Supérieure de la Production de la Mode et du Luxe: ISIPCA is the International Academic Unit of the Ecole Supérieure de la Production de la Mode et du Luxe of the Greater Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, dedicated to higher education in Business and Science in Perfumery, Cosmetics, and Flavours.
It is located in Versailles and Paris, and offers some courses in Grasse, the World’s cradle of perfumery, located on the French Riviera. It has developed French and English-taught Undergraduate to Postgraduate Degree Programs in response to the needs of industries and businesses around the world.
La Fabrique is the Vocational Academic Unit of the Ecole Supérieure de la Production de la Mode et du Luxe of the Greater Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, specialised in Industrial Fashion Production Management, Retail Visual Merchandising Management, and the French Art of Interior Decoration. It is located in Paris, the capital city of fashion and arts.
It has developed genuine training programmes for students and adults in its vocational fields, matching the professional expectations of all employers, whatever their position and size, from luxury or premium brands to manufacturing SMEs or retailers.
ISIPCA and La Fabrique encompass changes in global markets, as their environmental, innovative and sustainable and digital transitions, in compliance with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. As holders of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027, ISIPCA and La Fabrique promote e-learning and blended learning mobility, adds the statement.
