Adani Airport Holdings and IHG Hotels and Resorts have signed an agreement to develop five hotels across airport-linked and urban destinations
Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), that manages several airports in India, and IHG Hotels and Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, have signed an agreement to develop five hotels across airport-linked and urban destinations in India, marking the entry of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants into the Indian market.
In a press statement, AAHL says that the partnership will add nearly 1,500 rooms across Jaipur, Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram, as both companies look to tap growing demand from business, leisure and transit travellers.
The statement adds that the hotels will be developed as part of Adani Airport Holdings’ airport city projects and mixed-use developments around major aviation hubs.
The portfolio includes a Kimpton hotel in Jaipur along with Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties planned in Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram.
According to the statement, the agreement comes at a time when India’s airport infrastructure and tourism sectors are witnessing rapid expansion, driven by increasing domestic air travel and rising passenger traffic.
Adani Airport Holdings currently operates several airports across India and is developing airport city projects spread across multiple locations. The company has been expanding its presence in hospitality, retail and commercial infrastructure linked to airport operations.
