On the sidelines of the three-day travel and tourism extravaganza, TTF Kolkata, the leading global destination management company Cox & Kings held a roadshow to network with the Kolkata agents and operators with destination briefings on Vietnam, Finland and other Baltic states.

In the destination briefings, special packages to Vietnam, Finland and the Baltic states were explained in association with the Embassy of Vietnam and Finland Tourism Board. Over 100 travel agents and tour operators were present in the event to network and solve their queries with the officials of tourism boards, the embassy, and Cox & Kings.
During the roadshow, the embassy and the tourist board delegates presented the destinations, new routes, unique sites and customised itineraries and visa procedures.
The Ambassador of Vietnam, Ton Sinh Thanh presented the culture, sights, lifestyle and special packages to Vietnam which is less explored, yet a historic and natural beauty spot of far East. He also said special effort is being given to open new and direct air services from Vietnam to Indian cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bodh Gaya. The first direct flight between Ho Chi Minh City and New Delhi will be launched in October, 2018. Vietnam witnessed a 30 pc increase in tourist arrivals in the year 2017 as compared to its preceding year.
Sara Sodhi, Country Manager, Finland Tourism Board also presented the beauty of Finland along with the northern lights, midnight Sun and igloo resorts, which is an icing on the cake for the Arctic region. Finland had witnessed a robust growth of about 42 pc in tourist arrivals and overnights from the Indian market in the year 2017.
