Air India Express expands operations with six new daily flights
In a major move to enhance its domestic operations, Air India Express has expanded its network by launching six new daily direct flights in a single day, marking a substantial boost in connectivity across key Indian cities.
In a press statement, Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India, announced the launch of six new daily direct flights, including three from Chennai, two from Kolkata and one from Guwahati-Jaipur sector.
The airline says that five of these routes are new to the airline’s growing network, with the newly introduced Guwahati-Jaipur flight being an exclusive route served by Air India Express.
It adds that to meet the increasing demand on the Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram route, which was previously served two weekly flights, the airline has introduced an additional daily service, bringing the total to nine flights per week.
