Murad Ali Baig

Historian Murad Ali Baig, author of ‘Ocean of Cobras’, ‘80 questions about India’, explains in an exclusive interview with Media India Group why the Mughal heritage (16^th to 19^th century) is so vibrant yet in India, from poetry to unique monuments such as the Humayuns’ Tomb or the Taj Mahal. But also in these hundreds of smaller monuments that are a delight for the traveller all around India. He points at the efforts made to preserve these treasures, even if heritage preservation is still to be fully developed.
