Global Knowledge Campus to host first International Pharmaceutical Conference

The event will address global health challenges and sustainable solutions, with a special focus on pathogen mutation-driven diseases

Kolkata-based Global Knowledge Campus will host its first international pharmaceutical conference, GIPCON, under the Global College of Pharmaceutical Technology, bringing together experts and researchers to discuss innovations, challenges, and advancements in the industry.

Marking a milestone in pharmaceutical education, Global Knowledge Campus in Kolkata is set to host its first international conference, GIPCON, under its Global College of Pharmaceutical Technology, that aims to unite experts, researchers, and industry leaders to explore innovations, challenges and future trends in pharmaceuticals.

In a press statement, the campus says that the event will address global health challenges and sustainable solutions, with a special focus on pathogen mutation-driven diseases, antimicrobial resistance, AI in pharmaceutical technology, and intellectual property rights.

It adds that GIPCON will also feature the first workshop on RT-PCR in eastern India, focusing on its applications in virology, microbiology, oncology, and forensic science.

The statement adds that event aims to foster collaboration among experts from medical science, molecular biology, and pharmaceutical technology to explore sustainable solutions for the pharma industry and healthcare sector.

It adds that the  conference will bring together industry experts, including Dr Umesh Banakar of Banakar Consulting Services, USA, Dr Arpan Mahanty of Case Western Reserve University, USA, Dr Dhananjoy Saha of Directorate of Technical Education, WB, Dr Krishnananda Chattopadhyay of IICB-Kolkata, Dr Dipankar Chattopadhyay of University of Calcutta, Deepa Mukherjee of IIM Bangalore, and Dr Abhishek Kumar Tiwari, a paediatrics specialist.
