Akasa Air plans to deploy daily flights on both sectors, targeting demand from business and leisure travellers between NCR, Bengaluru and the Mumbai metropolitan region
Days before it becomes operational, Noida International Airport, the third airport in the National Capital Region, Akasa Air, a low-cost carrier, has become the second airline to announce launch of flights from the airport.
In a press statement, Akasa Air says it will commence daily direct flights from the airport to Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai from June 16, connecting the upcoming airport in Jewar with two major business and aviation hubs, expanding its footprint in the National Capital Region (NCR). With the addition of Noida operations, it will operate 188 weekly flights from the NCR region.
The statement adds the launch comes as Noida International Airport prepares to emerge as the third aviation hub for the Delhi-NCR region, alongside Indira Gandhi International Airport. The airport is expected to ease congestion in Delhi’s airspace while improving connectivity for passengers from western Uttar Pradesh and nearby districts.

Apart from passenger services, Akasa Air also announced plans to establish a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility within the airport premises. The facility will support aircraft maintenance operations and operational requirements as the airline expands its fleet and network.
“As India’s aviation market expands, capacity creation at the right infrastructure nodes will be key to sustaining growth. With its modern infrastructure, multimodal connectivity, and long-term capacity potential, Noida International Airport will transform access to NCR,” says Anand Srinivasan, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer.
