Embraer reports the best first quarter in its history with 31 pc growth
Embraer, a leading Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, has recorded its highest-ever first quarter revenue, reaching USD 1.4 billion in first quarter (Q1) 2026, a 31 pc increase year-on-year (YoY). The company also delivered 44 aircraft during the quarter, reflecting a 47 pc rise compared to the same period last year, while its backlog climbed to a record USD 32.1 billion, marking the sixth consecutive all-time high for the aerospace manufacturer.
In a press statement, Embraer says that the company reported adjusted Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) of USD 94 million during the period, with a margin of 6.5 pc compared to 5.6 pc in the same quarter of 2025, reflecting continued operational efficiency improvements.
It adds that adjusted net income totalled USD 27.7 million, compared with USD 50 million in the first quarter of 2025. Net income attributable to shareholders and net income per American Depositary Shares (ADS) reached USD 33.4 million and USD 0.1856 respectively, compared with USD 73.4 million and USD 0.3997 in the same period last year.
According to the statement, the company invested USD 98.8 million during the quarter, up from USD 88.2 million in first quarter 2025. Including investments in Eve Air Mobility, total investments reached USD 148.6 million, compared to USD 124.5 million during the same quarter last year.

The statement says that defence and security emerged as a standout segment, generating revenues of USD 227 million, a 63 pc increase YoY. The growth reflected stronger KC-390 revenue recognition due to customer mix and product stage, along with higher production rates of the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft. Gross margin in the segment increased from 12.3 pc to 26.8 pc YoY, while adjusted EBIT margin improved from negative 1.6 pc to 17 pc, supported by the positive impact of one-time items.
Commercial Aviation also recorded strong growth, with quarterly revenues rising 45 pc YoY to USD 293 million, mainly reflecting higher volumes and pricing. Executive Jets revenues totalled USD 418 million during the quarter, representing a 30 pc increase compared to the same period in 2025, driven by higher volumes and improved product mix.
The statement adds that services and support revenues reached USD 490 million during the quarter, marking a 15 pc increase YoY, supported by higher volumes across all business segments, particularly defence and security.
Additionally, Embraer delivered 44 aircraft in the first quarter of 2026, compared with 30 aircraft delivered during the opening quarter of 2025, reflecting progress in production levelling efforts. The company’s backlog reached USD 32.1 billion, up 22 pc YoY and marking the sixth consecutive record high for Embraer.
