Embraer and Bharat Forge announced the signing of a contract for the supply of forged raw materials

Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer signs its first forged raw material supply contract with one of India’s largest manufacturing companies Bharat Forge as a new supplier for its global aerospace operations.

As Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer seeks to enhance and diversify its foreign supplier network, it has signed a deal for supply of aircraft parts with Pune-based manufacturing firm, Bharat Forge,  which has become the first Indian company to offer forged raw materials to Embraer.

“In line with our supply chain diversification strategy, we see India as a major opportunity. This contract reinforces our plans to create a more resilient and competitive supply chain, as well as our commitment to developing the Indian aerospace industry,” says Roberto Chaves, Executive Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain at Embraer.

In a press statement, Embraer says that the deal comes as it continues to grow its footprint in India and interact with local industry stakeholders and government agencies to forge long-term partnerships in the country’s aerospace and aviation sectors.
