As the world’s most influential leaders prepare to convene for the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), the Paris Peace Forum is set to host its 2025 Spring Meeting at Seville in Spain on June 30 and July 1.

In a press statement, the officials of Paris Peace Forum say that the event, themed New Coalitions for SDGs, aims to spotlight groundbreaking cooperation and financial strategies to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The statement adds that with development budgets shrinking and global conflicts escalating, the Forum is expected to serve as a crucial platform for donors to recommit to the SDG agenda, accelerate new initiatives and forge transformative partnerships.

The officials say that the Spring Meeting will assemble public and private stakeholders dedicated to embedding equity, resilience and long-term investment at the core of development efforts.

According to the statement, in collaboration with leading organisations from both the Global North and South, the Forum will prioritise three urgent issues: child-centred development, the transformation of Africa’s agrifood systems and private investment in nutrition.

The officials say that the opening event, co-organised with the Gates Foundation and the Spanish government as an official FfD4 side event, will focus on the Child Priority Framework. This initiative seeks to place children at the heart of development financing by rallying global consensus around health, education and nutrition as pillars for rebuilding cooperation.

The statement adds that the session will advocate for the inclusion of children’s wellbeing in financial decision-making and long-term investment strategies.

Additionally, on July 1, the Agricultural Transitions Lab for African Solutions (ATLAS) initiative, led by Ibrahim Mayaki and Pascal Lamy, will take centre stage, focussing on catalysing finance for African agrifood systems in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and AGRA, a proudly African-led institution focussed on scaling agricultural innovations.

The statement adds that later that day, a joint session with GAIN, Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa, and the Access to Nutrition Initiative will spotlight the Paris Declaration on Business and Nutrition 2030, exploring how public-private partnerships can combat undernutrition. With research showing a USD 23 return for every USD 1 invested in nutrition, the discussion will position food systems reform as a critical lever for both development and health.

According to the statement, the Spring Meeting will culminate in an invitation-only joint reception hosted with Devex at Villa Luisa, providing participants a unique opportunity to network and preview the next edition of the Paris Peace Forum, scheduled for October 29–30 in Paris under the theme New Coalitions for Peace, People and the Planet.
