On World Photography Day 2020, Media India Group tells the story of struggles of ordinary persons in dealing with Covid-19 through the photographs captured during the pandemic.
This year the pandemic changed the way photographers looked at things. For those who had the means and could step out during the lockdown witnessed the long walks of the migrants, the sorry state of the slum dwellers, the idling daily wagers, the double shifts of the doctors at the forefront and several unsung heroes who were out there fighting the pandemic. Those who couldn’t step out of their houses tried to capture the world from their windows, the recipes that they learnt, the emotions of their loved ones and the often harsh and stark reality lurking just outside the four walls of their homes.
