India’s first premium cruise liner Cordelia Cruises has returned to its homeport of Mumbai on the west coast after several successful sailings along the Eastern Coast as it now prepares for resumption of sailings in the Arabian Sea as the calm weather returns after the end of the Monsoon season. In the past one year, the cruiseliner has completed over 100 sailings from seven ports and served over 100,000 customers.

After having successfully completed sailings along the East Coast of India, Cordelia Cruises has returned to its homeport of Mumbai on September 29, 2022.

Now as the Monsoon season is over and the calm has returned to the Arabian Sea, Cordelia Cruises will resume its numerous sailings ex-Mumbai.

According to a press statement, Cordelia Cruises, which is India’s premium cruise liner, has several exciting itineraries to suit a wide variety of schedules and requirements. Whether it is a quick weekend getaway or a long haul on the sea, Cordelia has something for everyone.  All its itineraries are carefully curated to suit all age groups. “With interesting on-board activities, world class entertainment, delectable food and fascinating shore excursions, Cordelia cruises are fast becoming India’s favourite choice when it comes to cruise holidays,’’ says the press statement.

Earlier this year, Cordelia Cruises had announced that beginning January 2023, it will offer a 4-night cruise between Mumbai and Lakshadweep and a 3-night cruise between Mumbai and Goa. The sailings will take place  The Empress now sails along the West coast, bringing thousands of passengers to Mumbai, Goa, Kochi, and Lakshadweep on a limited series of 2-night, 3-night, 4-night, and 5-night cruises.

Earlier in September, Cordelia said it had successfully carved a niche for itself and developed domestic cruising in India, adding that it had successfully completed over 100 sailings along both the east and the west coasts of India, covering seven ports in total, doing over 300  shows and serving more than 100,000 guests in the last 12 months of operation, adding that Cordelia Cruises has positioned itself as one of the most preferred cruises in the country.

The press statement adds that despite the pandemic, Cordelia Cruises dared to venture in India as the first ever and exclusive domestic cruising experience. Today the cruise sails across the western coast covering Mumbai, Goa, Kochi, and Lakshadweep along with the eastern coast covering Chennai and Visakhapatnam.

Bullish on the potential of cruising in India, Cordelia Cruises aims to acquire at least three cruise ships by 2025 and thus encourage the cruising economy in India.
