A cultural and tourism festival Rann Utsav, that is organised by Evoke Experiences began on Thursday and will run until March 4, 2026. This year marks a significant expansion as the festival extends beyond the traditional White Desert area to include Dholavira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient Harappan civilisation.

In a press statement, Evoke Enterprises says this expanded itinerary encourages visitors to experience the entire Kutch region, blending its rich cultural heritage with its archaeological significance. Dholavira, the White Rann Tent City, has been established to provide a wide range of recreational activities such as cricket, trampolines, bull rides, and archery, organised for families and groups.

The statement adds that the accommodation and facilities here are designed around the Harappan civilisation theme, with room categories and common areas named after elements of that era. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions including the Fossil Park, the Harappan excavation site, a museum, and a scenic route known as the “most amazing Road through Heaven”

According to the statement the traditional Rann Utsav Tent City in Dhordo continues to celebrate culture and sustainability with new features including a toddler area, an open-air cinema, and a sustainability stall focussed on waste segregation and recycling efforts. A new personalised service called Mitram will offer clients dedicated assistance throughout their stay, helping them navigate the festival’s activities and logistics. The festival’s eco-friendly approach includes using LED lighting, plastic crushers, and waste management systems to protect the fragile White Rann environment, adds the statement.

Rann Utsav has always been about more than just the White Desert, it is about the stories, traditions, and heritage that make Kutch truly unique. With the introduction of Dholavira into the festival circuit under the theme Adhura Nahi Pura Kutch Dekhiye, we are encouraging travellers to experience Kutch in its entirety. From vibrant cultural celebrations in Dhordo to the archaeological depth of Dholavira, this season is designed to offer a seamless and complete journey through time, landscape and legacy,” says Bhavik Sheth, Chief Operating Officer, Evoke Experiences.
