Polo Hotels and Resorts, a leading luxury hospitality firm based in Northeast India, has entered Mizoram after signing a concession agreement with the Government of Mizoram to redevelop the Chaltlang Tourist Lodge in Aizawl into a premium hotel under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
In a press statement, Polo Hotels says that the project will see the development of Polo Hotel Aizawl, which is planned to become Mizoram’s first five-star hotel. The signing marks the hospitality group’s first property in the state and expands its presence across Northeast India.

The statement adds that the hotel will include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lounge, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, banquet halls and meeting rooms. It will also feature the largest event spaces in Aizawl.

The hospitality group says that the project is intended to strengthen tourism infrastructure in Mizoram while supporting visitor growth, employment and economic activity.
