IHG Hotels & Resorts signs Crowne Plaza Hyderabad Shamshabad Airport Road, marking the brand’s debut in the city
IHG Hotels & Resorts, a global hospitality company, has signed a management agreement with AR Infra Consultancy to develop a new Crowne Plaza hotel near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, strengthening its presence in one of India’s growing business and infrastructure markets.
In a press statement, IHG says the hotel will be located adjacent to the airport and the 330,000 sqm World Trade Centre. The property will cater to airport transit passengers, corporate travellers, meetings and events, long-stay guests, and demand linked to industrial and infrastructure projects.
Shamshabad is emerging as a growth corridor supported by commercial, industrial and infrastructure developments. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport handled approximately 31 million passengers in 2025, while the upcoming World Trade Centre and expanding Aeronautical Park are expected to boost corporate travel demand in the region.
