Indian Aviation Reaching New Highs

The latest issue of Biz@India, Paris Air Show special edition, is out now. In this edition, we bring you in-depth and analytical articles on India’s aviation industry, both defence and civil, which has been soaring to new heights, especially in the post-pandemic era. Notably, the Indian civil aviation sector is leading the charge in this upward trajectory.
While Indian Air Force remains one of the world’s strongest, with the fourth-largest combat fleet, civil aviation has taken off over the past 15 years, driven by rising demand and private airlines like IndiGo, now one of the world’s fastest-growing carriers.

This boom extends to infrastructure, with new airports and training centers emerging to support a growing aviation workforce. On the defence side, private firms are entering the field, but Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) still leads, producing the Tejas fighter and developing a 5th-generation stealth jet.

Meanwhile, BrahMos, a successful Indo-Russian joint venture, showcases India’s growing strength in missile technology.
