Paris Peace Forum invites proposals for AI projects for AI Action Summit
To tackle global challenges facing artificial intelligence, Paris Peace Forum has invited proposals for AI projects for the AI Action Summit, scheduled for February 10-11, 2025, in Paris. This initiative aims to highlight and showcase innovative AI solutions designed to address urgent global issues and contribute to meaningful progress.
In a press statement, the Paris Peace Forum says that applications for the projects will start from September 5 with a deadline of October 7.
It adds that up to 50 projects will be selected by experts and will be announced in December for the AI Action Summit.
The organisation says that applications must be submitted by organisations, not individuals and must align with key summit themes. Projects must be at least in the pilot phase and offer a concrete, tangible solution.
It adds that the projects should be focused on five themes, namely Trust in Democracy: AI and SDGs, Work and Well-being, Governance and Ethics and Culture.
It further adds that research without concrete implementation is ineligible, but the call for AI projects is part of a broader programme showcasing contributions from academia, private sector, public and civil society at the summit.
The statement adds that the call for AI projects seeks to identify and support global AI initiatives that improve lives or address major challenges, including AI governance. Selected projects will be showcased at the AI Action Summit, where the Paris Peace Forum will serve as a multi-stakeholder coordinator, providing an international platform for innovative solutions.
