Rajasthan is set to capture global attention by hosting the upcoming IIFA Awards 2025, scheduled for March 7-9, 2025 in Jaipur.

In a press statement, Rajasthan Tourism says that the key cinema awards event will showcase Rajasthan’s vibrant culture, art, and tourism offerings, further elevating its international appeal. The IIFA Awards promise to be a significant milestone in Rajasthan’s journey to becoming a global tourism and entertainment hub.

It adds that this event will not only celebrate the best of Indian cinema but also showcase Rajasthan’s vibrant heritage, boosting its profile as a premier destination for both leisure and film tourism.

It further adds that the IIFA Awards are expected to significantly contribute to the state’s economy, attracting thousands of visitors, including international celebrities, media, and tourists.

Rajasthan Tourism says that the event will highlight Rajasthan’s historical landmarks, architecture, and traditional arts.

It adds that UNESCO World Heritage Sites, wildlife sanctuaries, and cultural landmarks, is set to leverage this global stage to further establish itself as a top destination for international travellers.

The Tourism Board says that the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, which was held from December 9 – 11, also  garnered significant attention from global investors, with the Tourism Department signing 1,320 MOUs worth INR 969 billion potentially generating over 200,000 jobs.

It adds that these investments cover various sectors, including hotels, resorts, eco-tourism, MICE, wellness tourism, and proposals for film cities, ropeways, and heritage projects, reflecting a diverse range.

It further adds that Rajasthan Tourism has launched programmes like Cultural Diaries at Albert Hall, supported 26 film and documentary shoots, and organised roadshows across key destinations including Jodhpur, Jaipur, and Ranthambore.

The statement adds that efforts to boost both domestic and international tourism have also gained momentum, with a focus on religious tourism and cultural exchange.

The Prime Minister inaugurated a laser water show at Sanwaliya Seth Temple and launched development projects at Keshoraipatan and Karni Mata Temple. The state also hosted the Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) in Jaipur, attracting 242 foreign tour operators and 300 Indian sellers.

It further adds that the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM) also saw 650 tour operators and over 13,500 B2B meetings, strengthening tourism partnerships.

According to Secretary of Tourism Rajasthan, the state has allocated a budget of INR 50 billion to promote cultural heritage and sustainable tourism.

It adds that this fund will accelerate the conservation of heritage sites and initiate new projects. The implementation of a single-window clearance system has simplified processes for stakeholders, enhancing the ease of conducting business in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

Rajasthan Tourism has introduced several innovative initiatives, such as the Cultural Diaries event at Albert Hall, which showcases the state’s traditional folk arts, and roadshows across destinations like Jodhpur, Udaipur and Ranthambore.

The statement adds that the state is also expanding its footprint in the religious tourism sector, with high-profile projects like the laser water show at Sanwaliya Seth Temple and tourism development at key pilgrimage sites.

The tourism board says that under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, Rajasthan’s tourism sector is undergoing a dynamic transformation. Her vision and industry experience have positioned the state as a global tourism leader, bringing new energy, development, and innovation, says the tourism promotion organisation.
