Aiming to offer an insight into single malt whisky production, Indian manufacturer and malt seller Piccadily Agro Industries has announced the opening of Indri Experience Centre in Indri, Haryana.

In a press statement, Piccadily says that the centre integrates whisky-making with leisure activities, such as putting & chipping golf green. This facility allows visitors to engage in recreational activities alongside their whisky experience.

The company adds that the facility offers insight into single malt whisky production through guided tours, tastings and interactive sessions.

According to the statement, Indian malt seller says that Indri follows established standards for single malt production using traditional copper pot still distillation, cask selection and ageing techniques. It  adds that visitors to the centre can also observe the whisky making process and gain an understanding of its methods.

“Exposed brick, blackened steel and raw concrete reflect the artisanal process of whisky-making while, warm wood, leather seating and brass accents pay homage to its rich heritage. The centrepiece is a moody whisky lounge, accompanied by an interactive exhibit space and a cigar-inspired relaxation area, all designed to provide an immersive and luxurious journey into the world of Indri single malt whiskies,” says Priyanka Singh, Founder, Studio Head, Chalk Studio.

“The Indri Experience Centre blends India’s rich cultural heritage with sustainable design, drawing inspiration from the havelis of northern India. Centred around a grand courtyard, its compact form features a 6 metre porte-cochère leading to a bar, tasting room merchandise shop, museum room, offices and a laboratory. The facade, crafted from reclaimed 19th century bricks, white painted walls with intricate mouldings and fluted columns, merges tradition with sustainability. Large windows enhance natural light and ventilation, while cavity brick walls, double glazed windows and solar-reflective tiles ensure energy efficiency,” says Anshuman Khanna, Chief Architect.

The brewer says that the centre aligns with its vision to promote whisky culture in India.

It adds that the facility is intended for both experienced whisky enthusiasts and those new to the category, hence aiming to enhance the understanding and appreciation of single malt whisky.

“Our vision for the Indri Experience Centre was to create an experience that is both immersive and enlightening. Every element of this space has been designed to reflect the passion, precision and heritage that go into crafting each bottle of Indri single malt. This centre is not just about showcasing our single malt whiskies, it is about inviting consumers to be part of our story,” says Shalini Sharma, Head, Marketing, Piccadily Agro Industries.
