If you are looking for a fresh crop of nostalgia titles, new seasons and breakout shows to entertain, you have come to the right place.

Frankly Speaking

Release Date: May 1

Frankly Speaking, a K-Drama, is a romantic comedy, directed and written by Jang Ji Yeon and Choi Kyung.

It revolves around the story of Song Ki-baek, a 33-year-old announcer working for Ultra FM who develops a disorder that causes him to speak without thinking.

It features Go Kyung Pyo, Joo Jong Hyuk and Kang Han Na in lead roles. The series has 12 episodes, with two new episodes arriving on Netflix every Wednesday and Thursday for six weeks.

A Man in Full is directed by Regina King, an Academy and Emmy Award-winning actor.

It is based on Tom Wolfe’s novel of the same name and consists of six episodes.

It revolves around Charlie Croker (Jeff Daniels), a wealthy real estate tycoon whose life unravels when he faces bankruptcy and legal troubles. The series explores his tumultuous journey as he navigates through challenges in his personal and professional life.

It features William Jackson Harper, Tom Pelphrey, Jon Michael Hill, Aml Ameen, Sarah Jones, Lucy Liu, Chanté Adams and Evan Roe, adding depth to the intricate narrative.

The Unbroken Voice: Season 2

May 2 will see the debut of the second season of The Unbroken Voice, a biographical account of Colombian singer Arelys Henao. While its first season spanned 65 episodes, season 2 is also expected to have more than 60 episodes.

It features Mariana Gomez, Ana Maria Perez, Juan Sebastián Calero and Jose Ramon Barreto.

The 8 Show is a South Korean web series, written and directed by Korean filmmaker Han Jae-rim.

Similar to Squid Game, the series revolves around contestants who are facing financial struggles participate in a reality show, and enduring a challenging living situation to win a substantial prize. It features Ryu Joon Yeol, Chun Woo, Park Jung Min, Bae Sung Woo and Park Hae Joon.

Blood of Zeus: Season 2

Blood of Zeus: Season 2

Release Date: May 9

Blood of Zeus is an animé, created by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides. Its second season will be the continuation of the story and viewers will witness Heron, Zeus’ demigod son, grappling with the aftermath of his father’s demise and the ensuing power struggle among the gods.

It features Derek Phillips, Elias Toufexis, Claudia Christian and Jason O’Mara.

Bodkin is a darkly comedic thriller, created and produced by Jez Scharf and Alex Metcalf.

This series is about a motley crew of podcasters who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in an idyllic, coastal Irish town. But once they start pulling at threads, they discover a story much bigger and weirder than they could have imagined.

It features David Wilmot and Chris Walleyin in lead roles.

Bridgerton: Season 3

Bridgerton is a romantic comedy series, based on the best-selling novel series written by Julia Quinn. Shonda Rhimes, the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, produces the show through her firm Shondaland. The show turned out to be one of the most well-liked original productions from the streaming behemoth after its 2020 debut.

It features Claudia Jessie, Luke Thompson, Jonathan Bailey, Hannah Dodd, and Florence Hunt.

While the new season will start on May 16, the last four episodes will be released on June 13.

Maestro in Blue: Season 2

Maestro in Blue is a crime web series, created and directed by Christopher Papakaliatis.

The series revolves around Orestis, a troubled musician who agrees to organise a music festival on a small Greek island in the aftermath of a lockdown. There, he encounters Klelia, a determined 19-year-old with a deep passion for music and the piano. However, their plans take a dark turn when a murder shatters the peace of the small island.

It features Christoforos Papakaliatis, Klelia Andriolatou, Orestis Chalkias, Marisha Triantafyllidou and Fanis Mouratidis as lead.

How to Ruin Love is a romantic comedy series that is set to take viewers through the ups and downs of a tumultuous relationship, it is produced by the Ramaphakela siblings, Tshepo, Katleho, and Rethabile.

The story is centred around Zoleka, played by Sivenathi Mabuya, who believes that her long-term boyfriend, Kagiso (Bohang Moeko) is cheating on her.

It features Thabo Malema, Noxolo Dlamini, Nefisa Mkhabela and Mapaseka Koetle. Thando Thabethe and Sandile Mahlangu in lead.

Eric is a thriller web series, created by BAFTA and Emmy Award-winner Abi Morgan.

The movie is set in 1980s, on a little boy named Edgar who goes missing in Manhattan, New York, his grief-stricken father finds solace through his friendship with Eric, the monster that lives under Edgar’s bed.

It features Benedict Cumberbatch, Gaby Hoffmann, and Jeff Hephner.
